Program Overview and Locations

Under , school boards are responsible for providing before-and after-school programs for children in Kindergarten to Grade 6 where there is sufficient demand and viability.听The EDP is complementary to the core school day, provides a seamless learning experience for children, and aligns with the Ministry of Education鈥檚 .

The EDP hours are from 7:15 a.m. until entry bell and dismissal bell until 6 p.m.听each weekday. Programs take place in shared space classrooms offering age appropriate programming that is responsive to the needs and interests of the children enrolled.听Some children may require accommodations to support their active participation in the program. Families are encouraged to communicate with program staff and the school principal about their child鈥檚 needs. The EDP includes both indoor and outdoor elements and builds on children鈥檚 natural curiosities and interests. A healthy morning and afternoon snack is听provided each day through our Nutrition Department.
