The Black Student Summer
Leadership Program (BSSLP) is a paid, seven-week internship that empowers
Black high school students to become researchers, leaders, and
changemakers through mentorship, experiential learning placements, and Youth
Participatory Action Research (YPAR). Led by the Graduation Coaches for Black
Students, alongside a multidisciplinary team of educators, social workers, and
researchers, the program builds confidence, networks, and pathways to
postsecondary education and careers while amplifying student voice through
community-driven research.
